I sit in my front room, my camera in front of me placed on a tripod, lost behind the lens, each journey, each exploration of my environment, each click and picture freezing a moment in time, a person, a lifeform, a place, all unique to the Cosmos, all unique in time, an ancient symphony of life's energy, all that is real, all that is pictured, all that is thought, all that is done, byproducts of the Sun & the Earth and what lies beyond the observable, the Alpha and Omega, energy & environment all interconnected beyond our immediate perception, captured in a photograph, the media longer lasting than the lifetime of one human, of me, of you, but itself by no means eternal.

We dance the surface of our planet, this celestial body, our home, our lives lived 6ft from the ground as we hurtle through space orbiting the burning Sun which orbits within the Milky Way, spiraling and moving through the emptiness of space, all moving, all of the time, nothing remains still, everything changes, as we pass through our journey of life.

Lost behind the lens, always there but not in sight, photos reflections of the mind, of perception, of those closest to us, memories in frames, places and people that mean so much to us, the light of the setting sun mellow to the soul, the face of someone that brings warmth to your heart, love in the incomprehensible Cosmos, love our linking connection to one another and to all things, to not know love is alien to life, to energy, it is love which connects all and we are all connected.

Yet we must function & live in the world of Modern Man and to do that we focus on our immediate survival; love, clean air, water, food, shelter, family, friends, tribe that is what we are and is all we need, to live, survive & thrive in happiness. To do this we must maintain the natural world which we where born into and part of, the natural World which runs deep through our minds and souls, walking, talking, hunting, thinking, creating, exploring this is routed in our nature and is all that is humanity which is something that is easily lost sight of in the lives & times of Modern Man.

These simple pleasures and necessities required for a rich and happy life are gradually stripped from us, from early education plucked from the family unit and thrown to ingenuine unproven mentors, taught en masse instead of as individuals, all to prepare us for adulthood spent as workers, this process which strips us bare of our essential needs, of our natural identity, the voids left we fill with consumer goods, alcohol and cigarettes', drugs and TV, like an unfocussed image we need clarity to be best experienced and that is Modern life, a fight to gain focus and clarity, to discover who and what you are, what makes you happy instead of doing what you are told makes you happy. A choice which thankfully you are free to make but one that is never put to you in formal context, more a fight for your own nature, a realization, a revelation, to overcome your programming and ask yourself who you are?
